Chicken Bacon Ranch Broth Bowls with Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

You know what's funny? The photos for this post are literally screen shots from a recipe video because my family (Hi, Lauren here) ate the food before I got to the shoot portion of the recipe program. This has happened maybe once before? And I've been testing and shooting recipes for well over a decade now. So alas, the images are poor at the moment (we'll fix them eventually), but man this recipe is tasty. I needed to share it post haste!

Chicken bacon ranch has surely entered its broth bowl era, and we’re very happy to be here.

These Chicken Bacon Ranch Broth Bowls bring together seasoned air fryer chicken thighs, fluffy rice, creamy ranch broth, crispy bacon, and lots of fresh scallions. It’s a comforting dinner with savory flavor in every spoonful—and a delicious way to put your Dressy salad dressing mix to work.

Hello Ranch does double duty in this recipe. First, it seasons the chicken thighs before they hit the air fryer. Then, it flavors the creamy broth that gets poured over the rice and chicken. All those garlicky, herby ranch notes carry through the bowl, with smoky bacon and fresh scallions finishing things off.

A Cozy Take on Chicken Bacon Ranch

There’s something especially satisfying about pouring warm broth over a bowl of rice. The rice catches the flavor, the chicken makes it a meal, and the toppings give each bite a little contrast: tender chicken, crisp bacon, fresh scallions, and creamy broth.

If you’re someone who always orders the chicken-bacon-ranch sandwich, reaches for ranch with your fries, or considers a good rice bowl a dinner staple, this recipe has your name on it.

A little shredded cheddar on top is welcome, too. Consider it an optional finishing touch for anyone who wants to lean into the full chicken bacon ranch experience.

Made with Dressy Hello Ranch Salad Dressing Mix

Our Hello, Ranch salad dressing mix brings the familiar flavor of ranch to more than salads. Here, one mix helps season two parts of the meal: the air fryer chicken and the broth.

That’s one of our favorite things about cooking with Dressy salad dressing mixes. You can whisk them into dressing, of course, but you can also reach for them when dinner needs a little inspiration. In these broth bowls, Hello Ranch brings the herbs, garlic, and onion that tie everything together.

How to Build Your Broth Bowl

Start with a scoop of warm rice, then pile on the sliced air fryer chicken thighs. Pour the creamy ranch broth around the chicken and finish with crispy bacon and plenty of thinly sliced scallions.

Add the toppings just before serving so the bacon keeps its crunch and the scallions stay fresh. Serve right away, with a spoon for catching every last bit of rice and ranch broth.

 INGREDIENTS

1 pound bacon, chopped into small pieces

6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Salt, as needed

2 packets Hello, Ranch superfood salad dressing mix

4 cups chicken stock

1 cup heavy cream

For serving: Cooked rice, chopped scallions, shredded cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

In a large pot over medium heat, cook the bacon until browned and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and reserve about 2 tablespoons of the drippings on the pot.

To the hot drippings, add one packet of Dressy Hello, Ranch superfood salad dressing mix, and cook for about a minute. Add the broth, the cream, snd season lightly with additional salt you'd like (to taste).

Meanwhile, coat the chicken and the contents of the remaining packet of ranch and season generously with salt. Toss to coat and, working in batches if needed, air fry the chicken at 375 degrees for about 14 minutes, or until deeply browned and crisp. Chop into bite-sized pieces.

To serve, pile some rice into bowls or plates and top with some chicken. Ladle some of the hot broth all around and top with, scallions, the reserved bacon and some cheese. Enjoy!
